Our third community pantry opens in Keighley next month
After six months of quiet work, our Keighley members are ready to open the fourth pantry in the network.
Read more →FreeNation West Yorkshire is a grassroots, non-partisan community network. We help people look after one another across the Yorkshire region — practical mutual aid, local organising, and a place to belong.
“As we find ourselves in this world of oppression and tyranny, we are creating support networks and community across the Yorkshire region.”
FreeNation West Yorkshire brings neighbours together to solve everyday problems that no one should face alone. We believe strong communities are built locally — person to person, street by street, town by town. We organise peacefully, act lawfully, and welcome everyone who wants to help or needs a hand.
Checking in on neighbours, sharing resources, and making sure people are not left isolated.
Meetups, groups and local events so people find friendship, support and a sense of belonging.
Skills, tools and knowledge shared freely, so the community grows more self-reliant together.
Everything we do is community-led and free to take part in. Here is where we focus.
Food, essentials and neighbourly help coordinated locally — reaching people who ask, and those who might not.
Regular gatherings across the region where members meet, share, plan and support one another.
Workshops and peer learning — from gardening and repair to first aid, budgeting and organising.
A friendly first point of contact for anyone feeling isolated, and signposting to trusted local services.
We organise locally in towns and neighbourhoods throughout the county. New groups start wherever members step forward.
